Jeffrey Allen Alteri died June 21, 2024.

Jeff was inducted into the Oberlin College Heisman Club Hall of Fame for his athletic achievements. Besides participating in lacrosse, he earned three varsity letters in soccer (1965-67). In those three seasons, the Yeomen compiled a record of 22-5-2, outscoring opponents 92-42 and shutting them out in 11 games. He was selected to the All-Ohio and All-Midwest Soccer Teams and was named as NSCAA All-American. 

Jeff graduated in 1968 with a major in Psychology, served in the Army as a military intelligence officer, and then received a M. A. in School Psychology from SUNY Oswego. He and his wife Nicki (Nancy Ramseyer ‘70) met at Oberlin. After several moves, they settled by a stream in the woods of Frederica, Delaware.
